Dr Richard Pemberton has an undergraduate medical degree from the University of Western Australia. He undertook postgraduate training in Urological Surgery in Perth Western Australia and a Fellowship in Laparoscopic Urological Surgery and Endourology  in Edinburgh, UK.

He is accredited at St John of God Hospital Subiaco and Hollywood Private Hospital.

He has a special interest in da Vinci robotic surgery.

He is Head of the Urology Department, Head of the Urological Surgical Audit Committee and Urological Representative on the Medical Advisory Committee at St John of God Hospital, Subiaco.
